Funny Friends at the Oxford Playhouse

The Oxford Revue returns to the Playhouse for its annual showcase of some of the nation’s top student-comedy talent.

The inimitable Cambridge Footlights and the multi-award winning Durham Revue will each perform a set before the interval, which will be followed by the world-premiere of Oxford Revue: Wasted, the company’s 2018 international touring show exploring the absurdity, soddenness, and desolation of today.

Some of the greatest stars of British comedy found their feet in the Revue, from Monty Python, to Sally Phillips and Rowan Atkinson. This is your chance to catch a rising comedy star in action.

No Market for Old Men

The Oxford Revue returns to the BT with an hour of original sketch comedy.

After a ‘wonderful and hilarious’ (Ed Fringe Review) run at the Fringe and Oxford performances that left the audience ‘in stiches’ (Cherwell), the Revue is back – with a new show devised and performed by a handpicked selection of Oxford’s hottest up-and-coming comics. ‘No Market for Old Men’ takes a wry look at the clash between past and present, young and old, and the contradictions inherent in all ages alike, with loads of jokes and fun times for everyone.

Former Revue members include Michael Palin, Stewart Lee, Al Murray, Katy Brand, Sally Phillips, Armando Iannucci and Rowan Atkinson - this is your chance to catch the rising comedy stars of the future in action.

1st - 5th of May, 9.30pm
